We are a 120 day program with daily group meetings
based on the 12 Steps of A.A. We also have daily meetings of A.A.,
discussion groups, peer group sessions, chores, and time for study.
The Ranch is approved by and accepts referrals from the Veterans
Administration, Volunteers Of America, Partners in Probation, Parolee
Partnership Program, and the San Diego County court system. It
can, in some cases, be an alternative to jail time.
Our clients are offered assistance with medical testing, legal solutions,
and referrals to recovery homes or sober living. Applicants are screened
for suitability and, if they meet our criteria, are accepted for treatment
for both alcohol and drug problems. We have daily A.A. meetings, and we
have optional Narcotics Anonymous meetings three days a week.
We also have recreational facilities, such as weightlifting, horseshoes,
and miniature golf. Our 16 acre facility has ample areas and time for
quiet reflection. Some of our food comes from our garden and our working
pig farm. Virtually all of the needs of our clients are provided for,
including excellent meals, moderate medical care such as a rural clinic
can provide, and comfortable, dormitory style living quarters. Toiletries,
clothing, and such can be provided if needed.
Education and personal participation in A.A.'s 12-Step Program is stressed.
A supportive environment in a peaceful country setting away from
the city is the perfect prescription for recovery.
