LEGAL ISSUES
Defense attorneys, prosecutors and judges throughout San Diego County know and respect the Freedom Ranch. Now we’re opening our doors to residents from other jurisdictions as well, on a privately-admitted basis.
Legal professionals throughout the United States agree that the successful rehabilitation of alcohol and drug addicts has a significantly greater impact on reducing crime than does incarceration.
Utilizing 37 years’ experience, Freedom Ranch has developed a screening questionnaire that helps predict our program’s success with individual applicants. The questionnaire determines a potential resident’s:
| |
● history of alcohol and drug abuse |
| |
● prior recovery program experience |
| |
● medical and psychiatric history |
| |
● current medical condition |
| |
● demographic information, marital status, education, and employment; and |
| |
● legal history |
This questionnaire and a personal interview exploring why the applicant wants to get clean and sober are requirements of admission.
Our management team is happy to provide special consideration to applicants who are recommended by defenders, prosecutors and/or the courts.
Legal professionals wishing to discuss a potential resident’s admission and the program’s ramifications are invited to call Mike Huffaker at the Ranch: 619.478.5696.
